Process
An obvious question is, how does the My Film Story team do it? You can appreciate it’s impossible to capture all your experiences in a short film or audio recording. My Film Story has designed story mapping tools to help you to identify and capture the pivot points of your life, the special relationships and your milestone experiences to guide the storytelling process. These are the things that make you who you are and a special friend, spouse, sibling, parent or grandparent. The My Film Story process is designed to capture who you are and have something you and your family can keep forever and be proud of.
Throughout the whole process, from first contact to the delivery of your film, we’re in touch with you and keeping you updated. We aim to make the experience as much fun and as memorable as possible. The My Film Story team works directly with you, assisting and reassuring you to produce something that creatively captures your personality and unique worldview and contribution.
The My Film Story experience is:
- Contacting us and having a conversation.
- Selecting a package, agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and paying a deposit.
- Completing the mapping tools and recording your story.
- Editing
- Delivery of the final product after final payment.
An important point to note is the film and audio recording is made for you, not for commercial purposes. The My Film Story team does not release them publicly and maintains strict confidentiality. Once we’ve agreed on a final version of the film or the audio recording, the My Film Story team delivers them to you, and you decide who sees or hears it and how its shared. The My Film Story team helps you to tell your story for you to share.
